Blue

She looked me in the eye and utter these words within

“I am gay and I made peace with it”

I saw the pain in her eyes as she dove into my skin

I felt my heart shattered, suffering

“I’m in love with you”, I orates

She nod her head with a grin on her face

“Seems like you don't believe me”, I stated

With seconds non to spare, she conceded

Arrows and bows I felt she owns

Sparingly, her words felt like sharp throws

I wanted her to believe my ardor were true

I spoke with my utmost fervor

With truth, i handed my heart to you

Let the days be years to come for you

With love, I utter this words to you

My love for you is as true as the shades of blue

The last verse is truly moving.

The honesty and the accompanying photo contribute to the
emotional effect. KJ is right about the courage involved in any
such declaration and the risks it entails in this life.

It takes courage to express one's inner most feelings especially at the risk of being rejected. The reaction can have a devastating effect. There are other ways less blunt which can express such emotions and often they provide a better introduction to the subject.
