The awful thing is that they have left so many of the dead Russian soldiers to rot by the wayside. Apparently the mothers don't get a pension or other compensation if the soldier son is just registered as missing, not pronounced dead.

NB. I refer of course to the Russian oligarchs at the seat of our government, and their friends who in a time of war would be "consorting with the enemy".
