THAT SMILE - a final image to treasure
Who will have slept easy in their bed,
Thoughts teeming endlessly in the head;
Senses numbed by the lingering pain
From a September Thursday in the rain.
The mournful sun hid all the while
Outshone by the radiance of that farewell smile.

Gents (you know who you are) - thanks for the" likes". My wish
was to catch the immediate feelings of many and recall that
final image of Her Majesty smiling that memorable smile of
hers even as her life neared its end..
