And no use trying - so little to gain

The sensation of being caught between

Something unknown, mysterious, unseen,

When the lights go out and a hush descends

On life itself and all that it lends.

 

While disbeiief creates a departing sense

Of reality in which the sudden silence is dense

Lights dim and expire in your carriage to town

When your train home after work decides to break down!
