Hey its 2022 and we are still talking about it

That which should have been wrapped shipped out

And told to leave long long ago

But it’s 2022 and it’s still a place for any rat faced kid with sneakers and zits

To make a name for himself or because he has a beef

About the way he’s been treated to pull the trigger

To let rip on all and any because that’s what you do isn’t it???

When every other party is packing heat

And you’ve seen all the films and played all the games

So, it’s time to do it for real

 

Whilst across the world some smart -arse suit

Who wants to show whose boss

Where he can swagger and boast and says

If anybody interferes, he will go nuclear

As he throws his weight behind every missile bullet bomb and shell he can muster

To take away the liberty of a people he doesn’t know

Just to prove a point

Because he says their land is his

Where thousands die and thousands have to leave

And find a new home

Just because he can

Where it is 2022 and we all puppets and players

In the game of life in which we are now

Reluctant to play
