For someone who should have known better, Bojo forgot to
understand that perception is all in public life. Not so much
what you are or do as what you appear to be or do. He had no
excuse to renege on manifesto commitments nor be unaware of
public expectations regarding his actions in office. Hubris will
exact its price eventually. Perhaps he should be made "Special
Envoy to the Ukraine" as a sort of redemptive opportunity?
