'The People Who Run The Country': Luke Wright's new video
Performance poet Luke Wright has released a new music video, just in time for this week's local elections. Titled ‘The People Who Run The Country’, and laced with swear words, it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. But we at Write Out Loud have rated Luke Wright for many years as a poet with his finger on the nation’s pulse - and really like this, too. Lines include “It’s our fault you don’t like your life” and “Yes, we are having a party / and No, you are not invited.” Can’t think what Luke is referring to.
