Luke Wright, Joelle Taylor, Cathy Carson, and Chris Singleton are shortlisted for this year’s Saboteur award for best spoken word performer. Two spoken word nights in Manchester feature in the best regular spoken word night shortlist – Verbose and Sayin? Others on the list are Coventry’s Fire & Dust and Flash Face Off (online). And on the best spoken word shortlist are Turtle by Broccan Tyzack-Carlin; Outlier by Malaika Kegode; Dancing to music you hate by Jasmine Gardosi; Becoming marvellous by Cathy Carson; and How to be a better human by Chris Singleton. The deadline for voting in the second round is 7 May
