40

Families

separated

Nerves are shattered

understated

Loved ones lost

Devastated

Scared to hug or go outside

Minds lost

Suicide

Coughs and sneezes

Catch it

Politicians chat shit

I'd rather clean up cat shit

Rules no news and that's it

Child killers knife crime

Husband kills his wife time

Dont assume the men are fine

Drinking smoking one more line

Depression breeding lazy

Darker world it's crazy

Can't sleep he's wide awake

Its light outside for God's sake

How much can his body take

The lock down thing it taught me

Life is my own story

Chapters lines and words

And someday it will flash before me

And to my friends who never reached 40

This ones for you

Thanks so much everyone xxx
I love seeing notifications telling me people have responded to my poems
Thankyou for the feedback x

Also Bethany thankyou for bringing awareness to the heartbreaking truth about Gary Newlove
Sending healing and strength to his family and all families destroyed because of violence and murder
Blessings to you too xxx

terrific rant type poem and if you dont mind I would like to bring to the notice of those who dont know about the gruesome death of a beloved family man called Gary Newlove beaten to death outside his own home while remonstrating with three young thugs vandalizing his wifes car and who apparently had a booze up in their cells to celebrate their early releases after just a twelve stretch one of them being described as exemplary! the pictures of Gary in his hospital bed brought tears to my eyes and so much anger in my heart
