A picturesque walk today 
pretty, peaceful and serene 
We counted the new born lambs
in vast fields of emerald green 

We glimpsed birds and butterflies 
flutter by on the cool breeze
Sunshine dazzled our view
flickering through budding trees

A carpet of spring flowers 
glowed yellow, purple and white
Soaking up golden sun rays 
before the darkness of night 

Just a couple of hours 
not venturing very far
We count all our blessings 
and think how lucky we are
