There is something magnificent
about seeing a swan in flight
Equal parts graceful and wonder
they appear so agile and light
He circles the lake runway
lining up a perfect landing spot
Touching down with elegant class
like a professional pilot

I think of the landings of a swan and Concorde as being very
similar in grace and visual effect.
