The end of the world is nigh ,but not all of us are destined to die.

Devastating wars,famines,earthquakes and diseases,

Constantly into our world the devil squeezes

In one year, 2.6 million world-wide covid deaths instil fear,

Does an event like this  indicate the end of the world is near ?

The complexity of the world being ruled by humans is a mess,

Hunger, disease, wars ,natural disasters, a sea of stress.

God's Kingdom is the only power to succeed ,

He who brilliantly created us ,His assistance we desperately need.

The end of the world is definitely drawing near,

Not something that all good people should fear.

A ruling by imperfect humans we will no longer have to face,

This ruined old world , our Creator will brilliantly  replace.

Anyone of a certain vintage here in London will probably
remember Bill Boakes, a familiar figure on Oxford Street W1 with
his sandwich boards that declaimed against protein and meat
and declared that "The End of the World is Nigh". I think of
him whenever i am privy to negativity about the future of this
planet. Mother Nature has other plans, I'm sure. It's more a
matter of whether we haven't outstayed our own welcome and
kissed it goodbye as a species, returning it to the other lifeforms
that surround us in their uncaring unceasing multitudes.
Is it "Back to the Bacteria" for Planet Earth? ? .

A well crafted poem which contains a strong element of truth. Only time will tell. We are certainly not masters of our own destiny.
Thank you for this
