Thanks, Ray. My original which I decided not to post had three other verses. But I thought they were weak. Also I tried to capture the sense of banging our heads on a brick wall by repeating the same message.
I have since decided that the 5th line of this is also too weak. I am minded to replace it with “This future is ours” rather than “This issue is shared”.
