2 Rooms...2 Views

Through my bedroom window, this my view.
I see the grand 'Old Lady' all dressed in blue.
A row of houses, side by side, cosy and tight.
Redundant chimney stacks, deflect the light.
Then I move into the new living room of mine.
I hear creaky shutters rise... shops open at 9.
County Road below is already very busy I see.
The 'Garden Cafe' serving their morning tea.
Beneath my window, 5 small spotlights glow.
To the Charity Shop opposite, later I will go.
Outside the Post Office, an early orderly queue.
The Taxi Rank is busy, as are the buses too.
The traffic lights on the corner, turn to green.
This my Autumn morning, County Road scene.

Thanks for the likes and comment, bit rushed this one and I did struggle with the line your pointed out! I will probably change it!

Enjoyed this, Mike. Very pictorial. I was less sure about the line “To the charity shop opposite, later I will go” which comes across for me as a bit contrived to get the rhyme in. (I’m being picky! Ignore me).
