Trev’s hoped for (in vain) 2021 Tour: The Run Up Pt 1 Still In Lockdown

entry picture

So called because my 2020 tour had been cancelled and I hoped for 2021 to be back to normal if there is such a thing, I began writing poems as in previous tours as to what was going on this part ended so I could take part in 2021 NaPoWriMo (A Poem a Day for April) with the intention to carry on in May with The Run Up Pt 2 Coming out of Lockdown, which I did after NaPoWriMo 2021. Things were going well and the USA was due to open it's borders on 8 November 2021, subject to certain conditions being met, my plan was to fly out on November 10 but a back injury in late October and subequent treatment put paid to it, so another planned tour bit the dust.

25.09.20 - 1) Poems I’d began to write plenty,

But covid but the blockers on 2020

No Texas roam, instead I had to stay at home

Nothing going down as the UK and the USA went on lockdown

Still wrote many a score to bring my travelling poems total to 1504

And called it Trevs 2020 Tour (Not)

How many more could I have written people needn’t have wondered?

Had my tour taken place I think I’d have easily passed 1600

No time to mope, found other activities to help me cope

As well as being a volunteer, to bring those in lockdown some cheer

I could do my rhyme on Zoom online

A charity anthology submission then got the notion

To give it some promotion

Not only one score but four more, three for charity and two for hilarity

Then comes news from Austin they’re trying for a festival next year

I hope it’s not in vain

Cos’ I’d hate to do another series ending with “not” again

07.11.20 - 2) Well lockdown eased hopes rose but all in vain

November saw us on lockdown again

Approaching winter time figures again began to climb

So once again we aren’t suppose to go out

Once again next year tour could be in doubt

Once again we can sit and mope or think positive and live in hope

21.11.20 - 3) Village city and town once more on lockdown

From November to early December

They called it a circuit break, hoping it would make

The virus slow down it’s spreading as upwards the figures were heading

Then came news so drear we could still be on it next year

So they continue to ask, us to wear a mask

Play our part by keeping 2 metres apart

But there may be something to cheer; they’re telling us a vaccine is near

But as usual there’s doubt as to when it will be rolled out

Some say by the before Christmas others not while Spring

But whenever it will be let’s hope they do a better job with it

Than they did with covid testing and the provision of PPE

25.11.20 - 4) This year’s tour was cancelled but the refunds went alright

All except the refund for the flight

Promises of refund again and again but all seemed in vain

E mails sent phone calls made, temper nearly frayed

Claim chasers no use at all, no win no fee

But if won they’d want their fee without doubt

And what they could get you was not what you paid out

At last a form was sent, filled in and back it went

I did agree to pay the airlines fee

Signed on the line but a month later there still was no sign

A phone call saying they’d paid I nearly hit the roof

Saying they hadn’t and sent them proof

Then thought I’ll do what I can and get help from the Ombudsman

Told the agency the score saying it could cost them more

At best the full amount plus interest

Then did tell I’d got my bank to put in a dispute as well

To make it count they would chase up the full amount

So they rang with some lame excuse and did enthuse

Saying they would soon be paying, please be patient a while longer

A few days later a surprise before my eyes

On a mini statement I saw, it showed a bit more

The payment done, it seemed I’d won

Though it’s taken them long enough, the services they can stuff

If they want my custom they’ll be wanting in vain,

I shan’t be using them again

Next time it’s a reputable firm and pay with credit card

If anything crops up unexpected at least I’ll be ABTA protected

02.12.20 - 5) Day dawning out of lockdown this morning

Still fears as we’re are still in tiers

Totals getting high as sufferers still die

Another decision made was non-essential shops can now trade

But will people keep to the rules or behave just like fools

Ending up broken hearted back where we started

Feeling irked if the plan hasn’t worked

But one thing we could cheer,

It’s said the vaccine could be rolled out by the end of the year

So we live in hope as we try to cope

19.12.20 - 6) We had hoped but it seemed in vain

There came news of a second strain

Hardly surprising when cases once again began rising

Some glad that Christmas has not been axed, rules had been relaxed

But in vain they were tightened up again

Johnson went on to say families could only meet on Christmas Day

Now there’s one thing more they’re bringing out a tier four

So things seem not to be looking so clever

And a 2021 tour seems as far away as ever

27.12.20 - 7)  It was a December to remember

Without doubt the vaccine was rolled out

Fearing the worst the most vulnerable got it first

Then things looked up, with good reason

The promise of a few days break over the yuletide season

A chance of hope and a smile to see loved ones not seen for a while

Then a new strain made its mark,

Cases rose and I thought we’ll be singing dirges in the dark

They rose more and so begun Tier 4

Plans came undone and what seemed like a five day break changed to one

Christmas only a few days away saw truckers out of luck,

France closed its borders and they were stuck

In Dover unable to get over. To mainland Europe and home

Lorries a plenty stood on the M20

Makeshift lorry parks were created where many more waited

Drivers stranded but help at hand, local community were grand

Spending hours taking them meals

And paying for them a hotel in which to take showers

It was marvellous what was done, all working as one

Proving that with willing heart, people had more in common

To work together, than differences to tear them apart

Negotiations took place and it was decide it would be best

If all the truckers were to first take a covid test

Army called in, French Firefighters, Polish medics too

A mammoth task to do but they saw it through

At last the lorry parks and M20 were clear,

Not home for Christmas but hopefully New Year

A bad end to the year but, some say look on the bright side

At least a Brexit deal has at last been cut

In a few days some will sing Auld Lang Syne

And we’ll begin to see what Brexit and 2021 will bring

30.12.20 - 8) Of new cases there’d been more

And they’d introduced a Tier 4

In the main they had hoped to slow down the new strain

Confined to the South East

But had they underestimated the power of the beast

Or realised with a jolt, people were at fault

Not obeying the rules behaving like fools

Whatever the cause, 20 Million more were added to Tier 4,

A new Governmental order,

The Tier 4 zone spread from the South East to the Scottish border

There would be a change the rest of the country would be all on Tier 3

Including all Yorkshire now surrounded by Tier 4 with its back to the sea

Like a siege no doubt no one can get in or out without good reason

Like delivery drivers as we leave the Yuletide season

The newspapers say there’s another vaccine on the way

Been given the all clear, should be a great start to the New Year

And you never know, I may get another Texas Poetry tour on the go

31.12.20 - 9) This morning, no time for yawning,

Or standing in the cold shivering there’s food parcels to be delivering

Take them out so folk don’t go without, then back more to pack

Stored in my garage so a call for help can be heeded

They’ll go where needed.

When this was done I chilled for the afternoon

For soon with good intent I’d another commitment

Last stint at the food bank for 2020, over the year we’ve helped plenty

Showing we care and when people needed help we were there

That’s done I’ve given my best now time to rest

Home, chill, write listen to music and singing

Wondering what the New Year will be bringing

For better or worse I hope to be there to catch it in verse

01.01.21 - 10) New Years Day dawned dull an’ grey

The street I looked upon to find yesterday’s frost had gone

And the UK’s left the EU a task that took long enough to do

But I’m hoping in 2021, I can once more enjoy the hot Texas sun

Or better than not going at all the beauty of Texas in the fall

Now I’ve sorted my e mails, facebook posts too, one thing more to do

End this rhyme cos’ now, it’s coffee time

04.01.21 - 11) Well the new strain is putting us on lockdown again

Hardly surprising when cases are back rising

Easier to catch, not yet met its match

But a glimmer of hope on the way

PM on tv went on to say, the new vaccine is being rolled out today

Now we know we’ve got two on the go

Then went on to add how things were bad

Schools and universities shut, non essential shops too

People are going to be really blue, knowing what they can no longer do

Just hope they won’t be tryin’, to spoil things by panic buyin’

Or become fools once again trying to flaunt the rules

Staring fights with police, saying they know their rights

With their selfies is it a game, after their 5 minutes of fame

So it seems to be, another matter of wait and see

06.01.21 - 12) The open mic was going well and we weren’t aware

Of what was happening elsewhere

Then news began to filter through

Trump had given an address, turning on the heat

I wonder if he knew what his speech would bring

Talking to his followers, like they were puppets on a string

As once again he did laud his claim of voter fraud

Encouraging his supporters to form up and take the Capitol by storm

Walk down to the Capitol was his request,

Sent them on the attack while he stood well back, while they did his behest

Because we had heard they seemed to have taken him at his word

Dismayed, but that was what the media portrayed

Like a rampaging herd, nothing could stop, Police caught on the hop

Crashing through barricades, letting loose hateful tirades

Climbed through windows and walked through doors,

Rampaged from floor to floor, nothing sacred anymore

Wandering around the hallways with a sense of gleeful desecration,

Chanting, shouting as if glorifying an event so horrifying

Along corridors they crashed stealing and leaving furniture smashed

Watching it on screen no surprise to see hatred and madness in their eyes

Officials barricaded in rooms waiting in fear as the mob came ever near

Hand guns at the ready it was said a shot rang out and a woman lay dead

There would be more, another four, watching this almost broke my heart

A country I have come to love its people tearing it apart

13.01.21 - 13) Things were going to get worse the CMO said, the new strain causing dread

Proving itself for now the stronger we have to bite the bullet for longer

Proved when 1,243 died yesterday more lives taken away

714 more than 529 the day before

Spreading like lightening saw Scotland’s restrictions tightening

Will the hospitals cope while the vaccine is rolled out in the hope

That it will stop the spread, but they expect

It to be a while before its full effect

But they will try sadly people will continue to die

And today there were even more, another 1,564

14.01.21 - 14) Woke to the sound of the alarm calling.

Looked out of the window to see snow falling

Showered, dressed, bit of shopping then fed ready to face the day ahead

Computer work done, away with 2 food parcels I run

Snow still coming down as I drive through the town

Up a hill pick up some extras on the way then once more I’m away

Parcel delivered back the way I came on the hill what a sight

Traffic increased drivers out of luck some well and truly stuck

Go down nice and steady, second parcel done

Then back to pack and load some more not too much of a chore,

Nothing forsaken another route was taken

Nothing to fear the hill on that route was clear

Loaded and once again the same, go back the way I came

Snow still coming down as I head back into town

A lot more and deeper than before on the other hill more dismay,

More cars stuck going up, I’m glad I’m going that way

Once again take it steady, in the event of something going wrong I’m ready

Bottom of the hill take stock at what looked like gridlock

Nothing I could do but be patient in the queue

But others went round a roundabout the wrong way

Trying to cut in but to their dismay

Others thought it a sin and would not let them back in

Eventually home safe car put away unloaded and I’m done for the day

Later I looked on facebook and saw photo’s that did tell

They got snow in Texas as well

16.01.21 - 15) Yesterday over another thousand passed away

Slightly less than the day before, but still many more to add to the score

But some someone did tell, the vaccination programme was going well

And that wasn’t all; confirmed cases were apparently beginning to fall

Going down at last or so they say but not so fast

Not much of a lull, hospitals still full

People still dying but not for lack of trying

By our NHS staff giving their best working without proper rest

Still giving hope as they try to cope

Yet still far too many,

Dying, how we long for the day when there won’t be any

Thanks to NHS staff giving their all that day there will be none at all

19.01.21 – 16) Just over a year from the day a virus began making its way

Silently deadly and unseen taking the name Covid-19

11 January 2020 it was said, its first victim lay dead

And clusters appeared worse than first feared

Then a Chinese town went into lockdown

The seriousness played down no news leaking

People were prevented from speaking

As the virus spread filling the people with dread

And so it unfurled spreading throughout the world

Nonstop, countries caught on the hop

Whatever they have tried hasn’t been working, the virus still lurking

Proved when a documentary regaled how governments had failed

Showing a part of China clear, yet a man saying it will be back I fear

Because it still there, only elsewhere

Hardly surprising to hear the death toll rising

When I heard a man on tv say, in the UK

Over another 1,600 have died today

20.01.21 - 17) 3rd November 2020 voters turned out a plenty

For another term Trump and his supporters yearned

But the electoral tide had turned

They found out to their cost Trump had lost

Democrat voters had the final say, Biden had won the day

Voter fraud was yelled but the vote upheld

Beyond all doubt it was proved Trump had been voted out

And what has been the cost, hope is not lost

Yes America had, had its say, today is the day

Inauguration for the 46th President of the North American nation

President and Vice president both, ready to take the oath

And no need for the deaf to feel dread

As by the person who led, it was signed a well has said

Without doubt making sure no one felt left out

Now time to try ridin’ with Harris an’ Biden

A hard path to tread, forward for the people they head

In the main to make America great again

25.01.21 – 18) The vaccine they were rolling out

Then supplies started running out

Getting it done to fast, they weren’t going to last

When I drove past where,

The vaccinations were taking place there was no one there

So it seemed right, the vaccine supply was tight

But now they say it could be in vain from South Africa another strain

Add to the UK’s and Brazil’s too it really is a todo

Whatever the call, we appear to be in for a long haul

Despite the new cases dropping the deaths still aren’t stopping

Though it seem not as many as before

Now oxygen in short supply and them some

How many more strains are there yet to come

27.01.21 - 19) The news yesterday said over 100,000 had passed away

Lives that had been, succumbing to Covid 19

Other Island countries don’t seem to have had, Covid 19 as bad

Nowhere near where we are now, the question must be, “how”

Not something to be proud of as the news unfurled

The UK the fifth highest in the world

And the first in Europe to pass the 100,000 landmark

Despite a down ward trend in cases there still seems no end

No lull as we hear the news of hospitals being full

I just hope the vaccine starts working

Wondering how many more variants are lurking

While it continues to linger where do we point the finger

And when it’s over what will we find of the legacy it leaves behind

Will it be poor decisions made during and before

Covid 19 reached our shore, could the Government have done more

Passed orders to seal our borders

What was expected that people would be protected

Those working in care the right equipment to wear

A track and trace system second to none they regaled

But went quiet when it failed

Then they made rules and did endorse them

But did not give the police the power to enforce them

Leading to arguments and fights and the words “I know my rights”

So people would meet in buildings or on the street

Harsh words spoken as rules were broken

Government members setting a bad example

Once again caught on the hop

But the blame should begin at the top

And that’s exactly where the buck should stop

28.01.21 - 20) Johnson brought us up to date

Lock down continues till March 8

Schools still closed non-essential businesses too

More bad news to look forward to

With the latest covid death score another 1,239 more

People living in hope they’ll be able to cope

Things are even more so not looking to clever,

My hoped for 2021 tour seems even further away than ever

So I fear but I’m grateful that I’m still here,

And it may not be all gloom if they run the festivals via zoom

I hope they remember for this Yorkshire Chap there’s a 6 hour time gap

30.01.21 – 21) France has now given orders to close its borders

Land sea or air, to non EU countries everywhere

Non essential travel halted,

A bit like locking the stable door after the horse has bolted

But one thing they can say, is they got less deaths than the UK

31.01.21 – 22) In 2020 the AIPF didn’t get done,

But they’d hoped to be back in 2021

The festival back again but hopes were all in vain

So they’ve decided at length to go for a virtual one from April 9th to 10th

One thing more I can call it Trev’s 2021 Virtual Texas Poetry Tour

01.02.21 - 23) 2020 quiet and unassuming when dark clouds were looming

Like the war many years before once again he rose to the fore

A nation’s spirits he raised his effort praised

For the NHS millions he raised

Admiration from a grateful nation

A true Yorkshire Tyke, lauded by celebs and ordinary folk alike

A Pride of Britain Award in store but the public said he deserved more

A public campaign made this plain,

Someone listened to them, for in answer to a recommendation from the PM

The people were really delighted

When it was said he was to be knighted

And they would see it all on tv

An honour well deserved, bestowed by the Queen of the country he served

Service carried out on Windsor Castle lawn, and so with perfect aplomb

He stood before the Queen and was made Captain Sir Tom

And with a smile they chatted a while

Joy you could not hide while a nation watched with pride

Then the Army decided to thank

Him for his efforts and so granted him an Honorary Colonels rank

In 2021 on the news it was seen, Colonel Tom struck with Covid 19

Now we’re wishing him well hoping not to fear the worst

But asking, when the vaccine was rolled out

Why wasn’t he one of the first?

For Colonel  Sir Tom Moore who raised £32,794,701 for NHS Charities by repeatedly walking an 82ft (25m) loop of his garden on the run up to his 100th Birthday on hearing he had been taken to hospital with pneumonia and covid 19 sadly he left us on Feb 2.

02.02.21 – 24) Sad news today, in hospital Colonel Sir Tom passed away

Family with him sharing laughter and tears, memories throughout the years

One thing clear, he’d had a remarkable year it seemed

Doing things of which he’d never dreamed

It’s said while he was there he couldn’t have had better care

Our NHS staff second to none, to them he was a special one

To save him they tried, sadly he died

Going to the parade ground in the sky, Shoulders back head held high

I’ll bet one thing you can’t refute

He got an Angels Guard of Honour and a welcome, well deserved salute

As through Heaven’s Gate St Peter let him, we will not forget him

And remember what he used to say “Tomorrow will be a good day”

Written on hearing he had passed away

04.02.21 – 25 I didn’t clap for Colonel Sir Tom last night

Something about the suggestion didn’t seem right

I thought what he’d done was worth more

Than a clap for a reyt Yorkshire chap

What could I have done instead,

I could have looked up to heaven and said

“Na then Tom lad this is for thee”

Then Ah’d o’ gone an’ tekk’n a knee”

But at an online event last night it did seem right

When I’d finished my poetic tribute

To acknowledge him with the British Army Salute

The Prime Minister asked for a National Clap for Captain Sir Tom at 6:00 pm on Wed 3 Feb. Many refused to join in saying he deserved more, the above poem is my take on the issue and I did end with a salute.

06.02.21 – 26) Vaccine being rolled out apparently targets being met

We’re told no considering of restrictions to be lifted yet

Not so with travellers from abroad, something we can’t applaud

Some think it’s a sin we can’t fly out but others can fly back in

No checking for quarantine when they're back from where they’ve been

Like as not a covid hotspot

They said hotel isolation was to be imposed,

Straight away the public supposed

As the government went on to say, the travellers themselves would pay

But government bungling led to a delay

Hotels well manned but not told what was being planned

Now on the news it’s seen, this comes into action on February 15

Will covid’s spread ever be halted

Or will we continue to lock the stable door,

Once more after the horse has bolted

08.02.21 - 27) The media did tell the vaccinations were going well

Once more time to bless our second to none NHS

Could a private company have done better, I thought “come off it”

We needed those who put people before profit.

Not the disgrace that we had when private companies ran track and trace

By the media they were pasted, millions of pounds wasted

Media kept telling us the score

The numbers of vaccinations got more and more

As the numbers grew I knew my turn would be far away

I was right when I read a text on my phone today

I was delighted to be invited to look for a space at a vaccination place

On the internet link I looked found a space and booked

Confirmation text came through, nothing more to do

But wait for the time and date and not be late

I wondered shall I broadcast it then thought with a smile

Nar, others are doing so an’ it gets boring after a while

10.02.21 – 28) Vaccination day today but first I have to be away

Doing the deed food parcels to those in need

And say goodbye to a friend who has come to life’s end

Then no hesitation, get to the vaccination station

Given a number take a seat no time for slumber

Number called I’m away my name I have to say

Sit and wait but things are going like a song I’m not waiting long

Jacket off jersey adjusted then I’m knowing

I’m called again time to be going

No hesitation for the first inoculation

Every things ready, relax and steady

Didn’t wince, say ouch or grouch

Just thought “that’s it I’m done, now roll on the second one”.

17.02.21 - 29) My ESTA expired today

No point in renewing it I’m not going away

Electronic System for Travel Authorisation

Needed for going to the American nation

Cos’ Hancock has gone on to say, no point in trying to book a holiday

Hopes in vain, looks like things is cancelled again

Feelin’ blue no news of festivals comin’ through

An’ this year’s tour looks like being missed

Cos’ the UK’s on America’s banned travel list

2021 Tour in doubt cos’ we still can’t fly out

If we can’t I’ll wait for a more suitable date

Hopefully before the end of the year, we’ll get the all clear

Then it’ll be ESTA renewed, airline and motel prices viewed

An’ you won’t see my heels of dust, cos’ it’ll be Texas or bust

22.02.21 – 30) News going round, a way out of lockdown

The steps to freedom Boris thinks we need ‘em

March 8 School starting date,

Although the teachers haven’t been yet for the vaccine

It will have begun as people will be able to meet outside one on one

How things go after that will depend

If on March 29 the stay at home rule comes to an end

People can once again mix in groups of six

And we learn, outdoor sport could make a return

April 12 if all goes fine people can meet outside to dine

Non essential shops open adding to the fun,

At last some can have their nails done

And we’ll be able in the UK to go on a self catering holiday

May 17 Indoor mixing back on, outdoors in greater number

As lockdown awakes from slumber

Hopefully full lifting from 21 June some say “not a moment too soon”

In the main to get the economy going again

Really getting out in the great outdoors, to the coast or tramping the moors

But I can’t wait till I can go well beyond

And book a flight to my spiritual home across the pond

Once more see my Texas friends waiting there for me

25.02.21 - 31) And so began the countdown to the end of lockdown

Foreign travel they say may begin after 17 May

Plans to travel were made then people were dismayed

When they got to know they were not to go

Travel agents hopes rose in vain, soon they were down again

Seems like no foreign roam but holidays at home

Spending days and nights at self catering lets and camp sites

Will it go like a song or will something else go wrong

Will it be Boo-Hoo at another Boo-Boo

Seems like it’s going to be a case of wait and see

03.03.21 - 32 The Government were pasted

By the media on the money they wasted

Saying it was a disgrace, the farce they made of track and trace

Money spent and all they could offer the NHS

Was a measly one percent

No surprise when PPE contracts failed to materialise

Consultants on five figure sums a day

But come budget day and NHS pay

They dissent and offer a measly one percent

Johnson developed covid, it was his cavalier attitude some did exude

Experienced firsthand their dedication and devotion

Lauded them for a job well done

And a clap for them was his notion

Others thought, not funny pay them better money

For despite their fears, sweating blood and shedding tears

They worked with dedicated intent

Now all they’re considered worth is a measly one percent

08.03.21 – 33) So March 8 begun, the road out of lockdown stage one

Schools went back some teachers not cock-a-hoop

For the vaccine they weren’t classed as a priority group

And an expert saying it would be no surprise if cases were to again rise

And we’re knowing the stay at home order is still ongoing

For others two can now mix,

Outside while for weddings it’s now a group of 6

Carehome visits have also begun but limited to only one

How will it be we’ll just to wait and see

And hope and pray were on our way

And if all goes fine, stage 1 part 2 on March 29

23.03.21 – 34) The first anniversary of lockdown

In every village city and town

Time really has flown fast how many didn’t think it would last,

How many believed, what have we achieved

One year on how many lives have gone

How did we cope, at times there appeared no hope

The greedy panic buying, the needy left crying

Others that didn’t care trying to get more than their share

Our devoted NHS giving their best, and the rest

Time to reflect some say and give them better conditions and pay

Emergency services too, other frontline staff and food bank volunteers

Giving their best, no misgivings or fears

As they proved with every task, not all heroes wear cape and mask

26.03.21 – 35) NHS England got one percent In Scotland they got more

Valuing the work they’d done they were offered four

Backdated to 2020, 1st December, did the Scottish Parliament remember?

How despite with tiredness riven, their best they had given

And go on to tell how they rose to the challenge and rose to it well

Not only lauded but far better rewarded

29.03.21 – 36) For freedom people have yearned,

Now the rule of six has returned

Or a larger group from two households

Another step near, being given the all clear

And in the main outdoor sport can resume again

But there is still a dark cloud, holidays as yet are not allowed

And advice not to try and make the most of a day trip to the coast

But say local is what people are advised to do

All part of Stage 1, Part 2

We’ll see whether or not they take heed

For the virus is spreading in Europe once more

Do we wish it to end up on our shore

30.03.21 – 37) Day two begun once more out in the sun

But first work to be done

To the unit I’m bound cos’ things is changing round

Shelving to replace with tables to give us more space

But first a small deed, a couple of parcels to those in need

Then get the unit done have some time in the sun

Then before shift end a visit to a friend

We chat outside a while, laugh and smile

Talk about the way things are movin’ hopefully improvin’

But I can’t help but think “but for Covid-19 I’d have been

Doing a poetry roam in Texas my spiritual home

One thing slightly annoyin’ I wish it was Texas sun I was enjoyin’

31.03.21 – 38)Yesterday was quiet but it didn’t last the requests came in thick and fast

Parcels packed and soon ready to go out possibly thanks to the new layout

Delivered, then lunch, catch up on my writing but so my wife isn’t hopping

Take her out to do the shopping

Then as I’m sat in the car waitin’ times abatin

At various agencies behests, some more food parcel requests

Soon they’re packed and I’m away,

Done back home and it’s March’s last day

Now this poem is almost done and for now it’s The Run Up end of part one

Cos’ tomorrow we get NaPoWriMo on the go

Where, for April we try to write a poem a day

Coinciding with National Poetry Month in the USA

An’ after NaPoWriMo what I’ll do

Call my next section Trev’s hoped for 2021 tour. The run up Part 2

If I don’t make Texas in the fall,

I’ll try to get there in Winter cos’ it’s better than not gettin’ there at all
