My Bird

Sit back,  relax,  I am going to share with you a word.

The word I wish to share,  is a simple word.

The word is  "Bird".

You know,  our feathered friend that can fly upward.

Do you know the fable about setting free the Bird?

Yes,  this fable I am sure you have heard.

So,  what is it that I have to say,  about a Bird,  anyway?

Well,  I have a girlfriend,  that cums too me.

And now,  I no longer try to cage her.

She is a "Bird",  that MUST be able to fly free.

To this fact,  that I have found,  I now agree.

On many of other pal`s "perch",  she will be.

When she is on my perch,  like a Bird,  she will sing and dance for me.

But oh no!  This does not happen for free,  you see.

For the Bird to be present,  there must be provisions for their needs.

And this girlfriend,  is not satisfied with water and seeds.

But on my very valued,  "fun money fund",  she freely feeds.

Properly practiced,  she pecks at each pocket.

Even the pennies she will pilfer,  and still,  I am pleasantly pleased.

She,  like the Bird,  when they have had their fill.

And the fun money is gone,  and they get a ruffled quill.

Off of my perch,  she will lurch,  and her whistle will fade away.

To some other perch she will wander.

While she does so,  I will ponder.

Will my Bird fly back my way,  another day?

Humourous and open to interpretation. Birds are of course transitory creatures and tend to be capricious also. I don't like to see them in cages nor any animal for that matter. Good poem

Thank you for this
