Addicted

When getting to much,  is never enough.

You know personally.

That dealing with a sex addiction is fuckin` tough stuff.

In the check-out lines,  and on the sides of the street.

Everywhere I go,  I am hoping to meet.

Those like minded partners.

To make todays fantasy complete.

I think of kinky things to do,  all day in a daze.

Imagining having sex,  in a hundred different ways.

I am not picky when it comes to having a date.

And equal opportunity,  when choosing a mate.

When having conversation,  on getting to the subject of sex.

I am never late,  watching for the one who can relate.

To the fact,  that it is the adrenaline rush I am trying to create.

And of course,  wanting to drain my prostate.

This endless sexual quest seems to be my fate.

Sex addiction is a serious addiction and causes all sorts of relationship problems. We may laugh about it but really it's not funny and can sometimes mask deep psychological afflictions x

I see nothing offensive in this poem. However, I would like to gently remind all that more offensive comments get moderated here on WOL than offensive poems. Be nice people!

What a difference a day makes? What exactly is different today Paul?
Have you changed? The only difference that I see is that you removed your perverted, and offensive comment. Thank-you for that I guess, but I would rather others had a chance to see it. I would have liked other opinions.

Keith We are no longer free to hug the ones we love. May we continue to speak up and take full advantage of our free speech before that also comes at a heavier price.
We might be warned that it also spreads covid.

Paul,
You might have driven Philipos off this site with your attitude, but it will not work with me. I grew up a long time ago and before the likes of you.

Adult content Paul? It seems to me a comparison between my good poem, and your perversion. Also I find your comments offensive, and rude. But maybe I am wrong, lets here from some others, if you can let other peoples comments be seen for a minute, before covering them up with your constant rubbish. You refer to the good old days, the good old days were the first two weeks of this year, when you were gone. Sorry Paul, I am trying to tolerate you, and play nice, but damn. Give us a break.

The headlines : Warning this comment has adult content is reminiscent of those headlines found in the Völkischer Beobachter during the Third Reich, when people thought or said that which opposed the State. Hopefully we have progressed since those days. We might not like or agree with the content of poems or prose but in a free society we have the right to express what we like .Any attempt to withdraw or censor this, is regressive into an age of fascism and tyranny. I shall be happy to refer this to the moderator. I demand as a citizen of this country the right of free speech and expression without personal insult

This poem is raw in its content yet outstandingly honest. We can applaud the honesty and also the courage to proclaim this poem as it comes from the inner depths of another's soul. What creates this dilema is for the reader to decide but judgment must be cast aside as it serves no purpose. The writer is not alone in his predicament as are those involved in the drug and alcohol culture but a voice like this needs to be heard and who better than the voice of a poet.

Thank you for this
Keith
