Our current appeal https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/wolpoetry has five days to run – until 31 January – and so far we have raised just over £2,000 of the £10,000 total – to be matched by another £10,000 - that we originally set our heart on. This money is needed to develop the site, to pay new people to take us forward into a sustainable future. Our volunteers cannot go on for ever. We want to transform Write Out Loud from a volunteer-led organisation into a professional one.

 WE CANNOT CONTINUE AS WE HAVE BEEN DOING FOR VERY MUCH LONGER.

We know many of you have donated generously to us in the past, and to this cause as well. Thank you so much for that. This blog is aimed at those who haven’t managed to, or got around to it so far. It’s as simple as this – can you spare us at least a fiver?  

We know you value this site, this poetry community, or at least the blogs. They would disappear along with everything else if Write Out Loud was forced to pack up, after spreading the word about grassroots poetry for so many years.
