It's Christmas (Soul) Time

entry picture

One hell of a year it’s been and man I was feeling low

There have been times when on I just couldn’t go

But I am going to be strong no more time for hesitation

There’s a celebration exploding all across the nation

It’s Christmas time so let’s get this party started

Put a big smile on the faces of the broken hearted

Now’s the time to give out a little peace and love

Bare your soul to the twinkling heavens above

Santa Claus flies merrily across the starry skies

Coming down your chimney soon and that’s no surprise

It’s Christmas time and the snow is gently falling

Gather round your friends and family for a festive calling

Don’t forget those that live with constant danger

Set a place at your table and welcome a complete stranger

Down on their luck destitute and depressed

There for the grace of god go you truly blessed

It’s Christmas time so embrace the festive glow

For some folks it could be their last one don’t you know

No matter who you are or what your persuasion

Let yourself go chill out and enjoy the occasion

It only comes once a year and that’s for sure

A chance to eat drink and be merry your blues to cure

It’s Christmas time and all the church bells are ringing

It’s Christmas time listen to the choir of angels singing

Let me finish by saying Merry Christmas to one and all

Enjoy yourselves let your hair down and have a ball

◄ Christmas Carole

Hi J.D. - One of the best soul records ever. It definitely lifts your festive spirits. I will have to get the sax music and give it a try.

Merry (Soul) Christmas. Tom ?

This has me in a celebrating mood, So good I do not know what to say. I love the music that you set this to, (Move on up, Curtis Mayfield). that song is on my playlist, I listen to it several times a day. Great horns, can you play along with it on your horn Tom?

Merry (soul) Christmas, JD.
