THOUGHTS AT CHRISTMAS - a seasonal re-post for 2020

entry picture

It seems that these words keep up with the times.  But as long as there is LIFE there is hope; something we should all bear in mind while recalling difficult times in our past.

...........................................................................

How fitting now in deep December

When days are short and life is low,

That in our hearts we will remember

Those we knew who had to go.

Christmas hours are briefly bright;

Their spark is spent in winter's pay

And soon surrenders to each night

When light departs with passing day.

But O how wonderful this living!

How magical this life we own

That we are given to go on giving

Till time takes all that we have known.

...........................................................

MERRY YULETIDE TO ONE AND ALL !!

There is a price being paid by those who have put their "freedom"
and passing convenience above the sense of preservation - self and
others, now highlighted in places like London. What has happened
to the old British tradition of "grin and bear it" for everyone's sake?
The population "as is" appears to be fragmented in a host of ways -
hardly conducive to optimism for long-term public health as nature
takes its tireless toll. "Look after number one" has never had more
relevance than now.

I'm thinking there is a price to be paid, and until the price has been extracted in full we will continue to have the status of 'debtor'.

Happy Christmas Mark, and all.
