POWER UP!

It's said the power to be alone

Is managed by very few

But I'm content to be on my own

And don't find it hard to do

Very handy when extremis exists

And the sheep instinct kicks in

To contribute to the plague that persists

With its deadly rictus grin

I lean out of my window here

To watch the world go by

And manage a silent heartfelt cheer

As above the birds still fly

Occasionally the buzzer sounds

And a courier brings supplies

Courtesy of my computer rounds

Of the stuff before my eyes

I came late to the cyber life

Going where my research led

And now I'm free from stress and strife

As it ensures I now get fed

Adaptability breeds success

And remains my guiding light

Towards the confidence I possess

To ease my present plight.

I do what I have to do

To keep this plague at bay

As I hope that you do too

To see it on its way!

Obliged for the comment, Brian. Now that M&S have linked up with
Ocado, I'm thinking of extending my current range beyond Amazon,
not least for what it could offer at Christmas. Yummy!
Thanks also to those clicking on "like".
You were all responsible for me noticing a typo in the lines which
I've now corrected to avoid "word duplication" in rhyme.

It's not so bad being by yourself
when ample food is on the shelves.
And who wants to be al fresco?
...just order online with Tesco?
