September 2020 Collage Poem: Out of the Land

entry picture

You need to play blue guitar at this interview Miss.

while sitting back to the sea

Put on your red shoes and dance to Nigel’s blue guitar

strangers humming the songs of tomorrow's vocals

Shadows of sinners dancing across the years

as Nigel's guitar gently weeps

the boom and the base of neighbours shouting from next door to turn the noise down

You won't believe what just happened

Hot of the press from Kaleidoscopic Keyworth; a misled Romeo listens to cinders crackle and snap

Nimble Nicola is ballet dancing down the aisle

pen and paper waiting for you to stimulating the page

Life beyond words, giving space to silence

Hire me I am the chosen one

when depression was too much to bear in crazed sentences

chaotic world

longing to be free

I was caught in the smoky pit dance of my father's eye.

The moon shields its face behind a mask tonight

a tool box unopened waiting for the creator

And the bells rang for freedom, yet no one was free

still the bells ring

in music, celebration and dancing.

Space to play and dance
pen will sing then write
crazed poetic sentences
that crackle and snap
nimble strings of the blue guitar.
