An endless number of counted sheep
The ticking of the clock
A distant dripping tap

Thank you for this. It reminds me of those final moments as we drift into sleep, our last thoughts and the sense of awareness as we enter that blissful state.

Thanks Keith. I sometimes think of words I want to write just before I sleep so I always keep a note book by my bed to write them down assuming I haven't fallen asleep before hand.
