They group up
protected by numbers
they race around
hurling bricks
bottles
rocks
anything that hurts
or breaks
the idea is not to protest
the idea is to destroy
a savage inclination
a basic instinct
setting fires
burning businesses
looting stores
spraying graffiti
the ugly truth
they are the Barbarians at the gate
and no one stops them
because
we must not be mean
we must not judge
we do not want to be branded
haven't we seen this movie before
can't we all just get along?

Violence begets more violence, what this is , is just the release of pressure, building up for decades and decades, violent revolution and the rule of instinct and passion has never gotten us something productive, but it is what the heart of a hundreds of thousands of people demand, a change of the shattering of a systematic oppression in place long before any of us were born,
Perhaps after change, we can have equity and peace, grudges are the most dangerous poison ever made,
