Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

Written by a funeral director

Cancer is not a disease that ends straight away,

It is an enemy that attacks the body day by day.

Sooner or later things will come to an end,

Stay calm and fight it ,is the advice I send.

You could be fit and well for many years,

Living your life eliminating funeral fears.

Developing a healthy relationship with death.

You are still alive valuing every  breath.

Some days cancer seems to be not there,

Other days it returns with a sudden flare.

Enticing  tears,stress and moans,

Spreading mysteriously to flesh and bones.

Plan ahead for your funeral trip,

Whether to be buried or cremated, is my tip.

Plan a funeral way ahead,

You cannot do it when your dead.

Choose a funeral director you can trust,

To be buried by myself is a must.

Topical and terse - a timely reminder that we all need to prepare for
eventuality of the final goodbye while we can.

Pick a song to play,
Before you reach your final day.

Coming to terms and preparing for the worst is one of the most necessary things ever, A lovely poem.

Well done Hugh - a difficult subject to talk about in many ways - the good days and the bad - trying to reach above the hype. ?
