No more
No more
toll
the Church bells
for the dead
No more
held the death rituals
prayers and remembrance
to honour them
No more
mass gatherings
to say goodbyes
to them
No more
friends can come
to say final farewell
to them
No more
reverential
burial service for
them
No more
than a few
close relatives to the
cemetery can come
No more
hugs from the bereaved
to console
each other
No more
closure for the survivors
and thanks to coronavirus
lockdown and social distancing
the dead are denied
a dignified end
