Harsh Review
Harsh Review
The last time we reviewed The Underpants
They had just released
A smooth and satisfying piece
Called ‘Tumble-dried’
Expertly produced in the studio
With top class electronic tumble-drier
They had taken advantage
Of twenty-first century technology
To create
A fragrant well-balanced affair
That dried quickly
And were ready to wear
Within minutes
This latest effort
‘Hanging On The Line’
Strips The Underpants
Right back to their roots
Gone is the technological wizardry
To be replaced by an unplugged effort
Expertly engineered by the missus
And mixed in hot soapy water
Gone are the sleek conditioning effects
And the fragrant hints of pine
To be replaced by handwrought wringing
And then left to hang on a line
Exposed to the elements
This is a very rough mix
And causes chaffing
And a sense of unease when worn
All in all a valiant effort by The Underpants
But the broken belt
In the tumble dryer
Has resulted in an uneven affair
That is nowhere near as good
As their previous fine efforts
*** three stars –
They need to get back to their top form
And fix the tumble drier
So that future mixes
Are not quite as rough
NOTE: these are not my actual pants ;-)

"The Underpants"...sounds like a group led by the likes of Johnny Rotten. Just a thought while I try to size this up! ?
