April 2020 Lockdown Collage Poem

entry picture

Watching the walls begin to change in pieces
It burns my soul to write positive poetry
Let it all hang loose
To be or not to be the scarf asks why are you not wearing me?

An invisible army on the road to Damascus
The exhibition bats bored of paintings and poems
Decide to watch Netflix upside down

Rats take over postal sperm banks
If tears could come they would
The Stockport Nihilist School

When everything changes, Netflix will stream to empty rooms.

Silence in the gallery, lockdown,
PPE, a pause to watch the TV, or zoom in Stockport insanity
Los Alamos mon amour.

Hi All
Having been battling with a dreadful cough for weeks, I'm feeling quite out of touch! Loved reading all your lockdown poems though!
Here's mine:

This lethagy
is bugging me.
I fear this lockdown is to blame
And think will life ever be the same?

The blank page it is mocking me,
I never thought that I would see
Pencil, redundant, by my side,
The inspiration's all but died!

Call from a long-lost friend: that call
Says life's worth living, after all!
Tomorrow, despairing thoughts shall cease:
I'll write a sparklind masterpiece!

Love from Dorinda x

Square window screens
poetic faces appear
zooming in homes
like your wallpaper
never mind that!
do you like
my new kitchen?
