Some people come

And some people go

Why this does happen

I really don't know

Did they see something

Something on site

They thought was offensive

To them, was not right?

Maybe their muse

Had tripped off on hols

Leaving them lost-like

Writer-blocked on WOL

Maybe were embarrassed

To post on the screen

Thought them not good enough

To others, be seen

Then there's the person

Who breaks the WOL's rules

Deserving expulsion

For being a fool

So why do some go?

I cannot find out

They've cut communication

And left me no route

Don, as you know I formally greet all who register to the site and am always massively surprised how many of those NEVER add anything to the resources here. Why join (other than to just read others' work) if not to share one's work. A very small percentage (as you can see by reading the monthly entries) of those registered actually contribute.

Yes Tom, once they leave there is no way of communicating...

As Greg said; so many stories! I wish I'd known some were planning to go as I'd have liked to say goodbye. Nice write.

You see them offload their entire catalogue in one day. Now why didn't I get any comments?....

Many newbies are extremely prolific for a few weeks, uploading their entire back catalogue supplemented by a few recently penned pieces. They soon run out of steam and disappear.

Lots of long stories, Don. They all had their reasons. Glad to see plenty of newcomers recently to freshen us all up!
