Biography

Sanja Atanasovska is a Macedonian journalist and poet. She was born on December 21, 1985 in Kumanovo. So far she has published five collections of poetry „The letter of the ten fingers“, „Testament of life“, „Garden of glass“, „My saffron“, and „Aphrodite runs in the windmills“. She is also the winner of two literary awards in Macedonia, Lesnovski Zvonа and Karamanov. In 2019 she was at a literary residence in Montenegro. Her poems have been translated into many foreign languages.

Meeting in the mirror

One day we will meet with a dose of doubt and disbelief and we will keep silent about our betrayal. You will see my tired face from a previous life it will be a hidden longing meeting in the mirror.

Hi Sanja

I've been looking through your blog entries. I like your approach to poetry. It's hard to say exactly why but I wouldn't have continued with it if I didn't appreciate it, and I certainly wouldn't be writing this.
I think I like your words being so sparse, and of course the subject matter, and then leaving it as something that hardly quite happened but feelings are aroused and thoughts are fuelled.
I look forward to reading more.
