I am a 48 year old support worker and poet living in Rotherham. I have been writing for over 20 years and I regularly perform at open Mic events around South Yorkshire. I enjoy reading, theatre, history and cooking and most of these interests influence my writing.
She's dead She's dead Died in her sleep Closed her eyes Drifted off Didn’t wake up again Dead On the streets In a cardboard box Alone All alone Ignored Passed by Over looked She’s dead And nobody seems to care Just another statistic Homeless A nobody A nothing But she wasn’t nothing She was a person Just like you and me But she’s dead now Dead All alone
