The Quiet People
The quiet, timid people
hid amongst the gathered flock,
cowered in the nooks and crannies
where no-one else wanted to go,
lowered their frightened eyes
when the others came around.
A voiceless legion tethered to anxiety,
tied to a heightened fear
of imagined temporal titans.
A tribe of mixed emotions
withstanding the advancing mass.
