Well that's very nice dear, but I play Scrabble to WIN! So you can make your pretty patterns, and I'll just...win :) By a ridiculous amount. ;)

Yeh I know what it referred to, durr ;p *whoosh* what was that? It was the sound of a joke going over your head hehe ;p

I DO have a competitive spirit, although I don't expect to win on here. Pool, yes, and god help you at Scrabble quite frankly cos I'm a monster at that ;D

Thanks Carole - you are probably right. I dug some out that I'd written in my 20s the other day and they weren't bad - the ideas at any rate. My problem is time - poems are more immediate and I'm lazy - and then it's not so easy to publish them anywhere. All excuses for not getting my finger out. I'll give it some thought. x

Hi, Ann. I truly meant to contact you yesterday, but I got caught up in my oldest grandson's sixteenth birthday preparations - it IS a milestone! I don't know exactly where you live in Cornwall. I was thinking of you especially just in case you were in the flood zone.

How do you get on 'voice' for reading?

Yes, Dave, you are right it was a long shot but hey why not? It was simply the caverns reference that had me thinking of the Kubla Khan caverns!! Glad you lked the "On the nature of.." Wondered if it was a bit too much on the gloomy side but then I do love a good wallow! Is your similarish poem on your blog? I'll check it out now - I hope it is. Thanks for your support.

Hi Dave - I like a lot of yours & it's very interesting about the photons & news to me. I posted a poem not-so-very-long-ago (old father time) positing my view that there really is "No Such Thing as Time". This is my firmly held belief, which, if true, might help to avoid some of the anomalies & problems which particle physics currently seems to be struggling over. just my 2 cents. all the best. B
