Prisoner of war

entry picture

Prisoner of war

catching a glimps of a memory through the window of the hut
an image of what was the memories of the blood shed of the battles that you won and lost
after the war....

Prisoner of war
standing with your number tattooed upon your flesh
you stand proud, no shame, tears fall
your ability too be, taken away

after the fires have gone out
your memory lives on after the war
within the eyes of others be they of another faith, another colour
don't be afraid of the future you told me
your words "I SHALL BE THE SHEILD AROUND YOUR HEART FORVER"

Prisoner of war
you once where, you over come, you thought on, you Lived!
you created a new life, you bore new life after new life
your smile, never weakened, you fought on

Prisoner of war
Prisoner of war

Your forgiving all that went before

no anger within you,
set you free,

No Prisoner of war no More ....

second world war
