Poetry in Armitage country: Write Out Loud at Marsden library tonight

Exciting news for the West Yorkshire village of Marsden – poet laureate Simon Armitage’s next collection, due next year, will be all about the village where he grew up. Meanwhile you can experience the village’s poetry buzz every month at Marsden library. Marsden Write Out Loud meet there on Wednesday 20 November for another evening of open-floor poetry, with everyone welcome to read their own poems, someone else's, or just come and listen. Entry is £2, and it starts at 7.30pm. More details and Map

PS Simon Armitage will be reading at St Bartholomew’s church, Marsden on Friday 29 November, at 7.30pm. The event, as you might imagine, is already sold out!
