Food and Drink

Sitting here, a nice cool beer

Sound of voices, many choices

Condiments laid out, salt and pepper

mayo, salad cream, taste seems better

Crazy size menu, fish, meat, curries and pies

Vegetarian, vegan and special diets

They’ll boil, braze, poach or fry it

If you want sides, they vary far and wide

Salads, chips, wedges and fries

A fish section, seafood, steaks and pizza’s

Pasta, noodles, risotto, waiting to be eaten.

Rice on offer, pilau, vegetable and egg

Sauces in yellow, brown, green and red

Desserts are the worst, thirteen to be had

What’s good for you tastes bad,

and what’s bad for you is good.

Ice cream sundaes, pastries, puddings

Chocolate fudge cake, Mississippi mud things

Apple pie with lashings of custard

Desserts are the killer not Colonel Mustard

It’s like Monopoly, playing with food

Too many choices, different moods

It leaves you hovering on the brink

of a gigantic menu of food and drink
