The clocks go back on Sunday

The clocks go back on Sunday, that's fine.

Slight problem!

Can't remember where I bought mine.

A receipt for the purchase I do lack,

No point really in taking it back.

The clocks go back on Sunday,

For me, not  a refund day.

Brian - I'm beginning to lean more to the prosaic side in my latter years of poetic journey and feel your last comment has a better poetic feel than your original. To me. A sorta recent Coopey-style feel......

Hugh, your comment is better poetry than the original poem.

The clocks go back on Sunday,an extra hour in bed.
But shorter days and colder nights, winter lies ahead!
Three yellow weather warnings have been issued by the met.
A 24 hour deluge of rain we are about to get.
Floods are expected due to leaf blocked drains,
A dark and dismal cloudy sky over the U.K. reigns.

"Seconds away!". Another knock-out from this dryly humorous source. ?

We put them back
We put them on
All we lack
is the will to attack
the time that's gone

Solid gone
