Nine of Swords – Despair – Night terrors, suffering, a sense of misery

Interpretation: This card indicates a very tormented and painful suffering, a suffering of the mind which is causing intense misery to the seeker. You may be feeling desolation from some kind of dishonesty and perhaps slander. You troubles are not over and the worst is yet to come or you are already at the point of complete meltdown. This card shows a person sitting in bed holding their head in their hands in utter despair and this being the swords this could indicate that your thoughts may be keeping you up at night as you struggle to process them. You may be plagued by fear, guilt, doubt and worries which may be causing you to play the situation over and over in your head until you are completely distraught. Just keep in mind that things usually look clearer in the light of day and perhaps you need to make proper time to have a good look at the situation before it completely overwhelms you, setting you on a very vicious circle that cause some serious damage not only to yourself but to other around you. This card shows that the woman is in complete despair and may need some assistance with whatever is causing such torment so don’t be afraid to seek out help if needs be. Most times situations to this extent do require a more professional or more enlightened guiding hand.

You have upset yourself for far too long now and you do not have unnecessary subconscious or even conscious thoughts running away with you that was causing you so much misery. It’s time to get up and out of bed so that you can go face the outside world and begin to live again.
