Heartbreak.

                 Heartbreak.

How do you mend a broken heart?

After it’s been torn apart.

You could always drink a lot.

Or smoke a load of pot.

These will make it worse.

Heartbreak is a real curse.

Take some pills to help you sleep.

She’s still there in you head, buried deep.

Then you see things that aren’t really there.

You think it’s real, shows you care.

Night terrors you can’t control.

You sink into a deep black hole.

Heartbreak can take many turns.

But in your heart the flame still burns.

The pain just will not go away.

With you, it will always stay.

They say it will leave you in time.

So what do you do in the meantime?

All alone and it’s a dark place.

You keep up appearances to save face.

Having a laugh or telling a joke.

Splashing the cash until you go broke.

But inside it still hurts so bad.

You can’t help being so sad.

There are reminders all over the place.

You will always see their face.

In your head, up on a wall.

You have to carry on and stand tall.
