Market street ,one of the busiest shopping streets in the land,

Pedestrianised,all cyclists racing down should be banned.

Silent cyclists rampaging down Market street,

Dangerously dodging bag laden shoppers out for a treat.

Britain's cyclists are keen,green and keep themselves fit,

But shoppers down Market street are frightened of being hit.

 

Food deliverers with targets to meet,

Please push your bikes down Market street.

Causing death or injury delivering food is no defence,

Dangerous, irresponsible cycling should be an offence.

To push your bike should be allowed,

Avoiding panic and fear in the crowd.

 

Teenagers texting impressing their friends,

No hands on the bars setting new trends.

Teenagers showing off front wheel high in the air,

To let them continue ,is definitely not fair!

Irresponsible cycling down Market street must stop,

 Sat on a bench for two hours ,not seen a  cop !

 

Watched a child inches away from her time to die,

Thankfully missed by a careless cyclist meandering by.

Regular shoppers will have experienced scenes like this,

Cyclists scaringly,snake like creating a near miss.

Put no cycling signs up for all to see,

Manchester City Council ,PLEASE LISTEN TO ME !
