Three Empty Words

I love you! Recycled words, that fall on deaf ears;

I'm sorry! Can't un-cry, all the tears;

Don't leave! She needs a reason, to stay;

I love you! There's nothing else, he can say.

She's gone. He stands alone at the gate;

WORDS; a little too little, much too late...

◄ who cares, anyway?

Great meaningful poem here Chrystal. It really makes us realise how many 'stock' words and phrases we rattle off like robots without even giving it much thought, worst of all many will only pull out these 'Get out of jail' cards at the last minute!

Adam - Jeffery Deaver's The October List is another written in reverse. I found it a very interesting and different read. His comment? One is enough for me...

Chrystel, this has a really nice rhythm and the idea of uncrying tears is really intriguing. It reminds me of a book called Times Arrow where all this horrific stuff is written in reverse order until the beginning where it all ...well I wont spoil it. But again....great poem
