When were we?

When were we?

I see you again
I forget when we are
Have we just met
Are we exes
Did we survive a war

Your voice plays over
Speeding cars
While nothing moves
Inside me struck
An innocent bystander

And these memories
Mix in dreamsĀ
Recomposing themselves
Army dolls
In home-made dioramas

it kind of reminds me that every so often we make eye contact with a stranger who gives off a strong or subtle sense of familiarity
a meeting of minds
it's such a strangely wonderful feeling and gets the mind working
the wonder of past lives
beautiful xx
