(I've always felt this site lacked a poetry and recipe fusion post.  Here's one from the Lumpwood King)

For those of us that barbecue we sometimes find we wish

We might forego the pork or lamb and barbecue some fish;

But this is problematic; you’ll find this once you start

Cos tasty though as most fish is it’s prone to fall apart;

Now remedies are possible; it could be wrapped in foil

But this retains the moisture so the fish will merely boil;

And dowsing it with olive oil in a pan I’ve tried

But then it’s scarcely barbecued – the fish just ends up fried;

But then I had a good idea (well, truth to tell, I lied)

I strolled around Strike’s nursery when upon this pan I spied;

But bugger me! At what a price! Sixteen ninety nine!

But reckoned it’s no better than the pan I’ll make of mine;

I set to work this morning with a frying pan and drill

And now I’ve got it finished; and doesn’t it look brill?

Our Gert though’s not so happy (so I’m no happy man)

She says that I have buggered up her brand new frying pan.
