Thanks David. Stephen Yaxley-Lennon is not my concern here. We should all be pointing the finger at those in positions of authority, who had it within their grasp to stop the sufferings of children, and deliberately chose not to do so - fearful of being called racist or of 'offending' special interest groups. These girls were working class, poor, vulnerable, often in local authority 'care' (sic) and we, as a society, turned our backs on their exploitation, abuse and suffering FOR YEARS AND YEARS. Those in power MUST be called to account.

I'm American so I don't know much about this guy. There's a lot to read...but I don't think I like him. And I do see that he appealed to Trump for asylum...yikes.
What a world, what a world.

And my book recommendation was for a good guy.

Tommy Robinson is a repellent character...but he is a result of the community he was raised in, it is easy for us all to point and scoff at him.

Tommy Robinson is also clever and manipulative..they are human traits not always used for wrong doing. I find it difficult to come down on his side though I do actually respect him in some ways...considering his life experiences.

He is misguided in much of his thinking (I despise racists of all denominations and creeds) but I can rationalise how they come to exist. TR spent some time with Quilliam a think tank whose purpose is to combat extremism of all persuasions, there are some individuals of influence in the heirachy of that organisation who still retain some respect for him, people should seek out their voices.

To be honest I find it more troubling that our government purposely misinterprets its own legislation to discriminate against those it finds threatening to its own grip on the reigns of power.

I am not an apologist for any extremist scum whichever flank they occupy, but I worry about the manipulation of legislation by a government which benefits its own position.

All the above is extremely dangerous to voice so I respect those who put themselves out there.

I'm pretty sure I'm on a list.

I hear you John.

David.

Thank you very much Keith and Lisa for your encouragement. Not an easy poem to write. I am not a rabid white nationalist - as anyone who's followed by work would know - but I think the jailing of those who expose what the 'authorities' willfully ignored, whilst children suffered untold abominations, is a very serious crime and those responsible for turning a blind eye to such abominations should be the ones to be put on trial. I sincerely hope that we won't need to wait as long as the Hillsborough families did. John

Great subject and read John. People only seem interested in fake news lately.

Another wonderful book on this subject is "Prisoner Without a Name, Cell Without a Number" by Jocobo Timerman.
