Shake On It

There is yet much to see
within the darkness of a tomb,
so much to discover between two atoms.
An awesome universe of consciousness
separates you and I. Discussion continues;
argument, but not agreement.
Fantastic discoveries, proofs, but no agreement.
Insights, epiphanies, revelations. No agreement.
We, not blind to the crisis, see far
when we close our eyes, imagine
fine times of generous concession,
toleration, co-operation. But
if the two wings of a skylark perfectly agree
they are torn apart, shot from the sky.
Who brings them down, is it you or I?

What is out there is greater than any of us will ever know.
Another fine piece of thought provoking work Adam.

Yes, let's agree to disagree. In the last 3 lines, you posit the notion that, at least in my mind, and quite rightly, that if science and religion melded ideas, each would be destroyed in their very foundations. Wonderful work.
