More Flowers Now

more flowers now than cars
       patterned colours
grey oaks    the great spark of
A lake s
urface on the one hot day
of Summer   too many
stars this time
of year
whole galaxies
holl o wed
in a single moment
and then come the flowers
lovingly cellotaped
to the trees
on the side of the road
                         cones like sigils filled
with bright,
alive         so alive
colours and us in the tunnels till
we can barely see the blood
from the petals.
