Why Has Our Aussie Stopped Posting?

 

What's happened to our favourite Aussie rhymer

Why has he disappeared, gone un-post?

He used to rhyme regularly on blogslide

Yep, once a day (nearly almost)

 

I hear he's escaped from the hospital

Six weeks from his tragic ladder fall

But still keeps on hearing the echoes

Of “Please don't leave Aussie...” (nursie calls)

 

The surgeons said he must not weight-bear

For four out of six dragging weeks

Imagine his pain and his suffering

Existing on one leg, for leaks

 

Thank heavens he's finally escaped there

Escaped from the hospital's clutches

Escaped from their mishy-mashy food cordon bleu

Escaped from wheelie chairs and their crutches

 

Now safely at home, he's recovering

But with problems at making the change

From institutionalisation for six weeks

Back to real life, which to him feels quite strange

 

I'm sure he'll come back, and reward us

With his rhyme in it's various ways

Once his nurse echoes have faded

Which hopefully will be just a few days

 

(Come back Aussie..... Aussie?)
