The Potter´s Hand

The Potter´s Hand

We are being formed

fashioned for a purpose

Not yet complete

malleable but stubborn

Free will to be subdued

as the psalmist says

The potter and teacher

are one in their work

The end is assured

and within sight

Meanwhile we wait

until all is accomplished

Then we move forward

to an ultimate destiny

You speak a lot of truths in this poem. Your first two lines are gripping. Overall enjoyed the poem and the way it flowed. I found it hard to read and wasn't sure where to take a breath, to move on. You can read this in several ways and each giving different value. Not a bad thing. And yes it deserves to be read several times. Would find interesting to hear how you would read this. I like the simple message, wise. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful poem that requires to be read again and again.

This almost sounds like a piece of scripture in its own right if no other reason for the way it has been so beautifully written.
Thanks for posting Keith

A wonderful poem! Are we being guided by forces and if so, do we follow them or not? Either way we wait until destiny arrives at our doorstep. A thought provoking poem for all those who read it. Thank you Keith! Jane?
