Old Noah was a good and pious fella,

Too bad he did not own an umbrella!

instead he had to build an arc; oh the terror!

and all that due to a slight grammatical error.

 

He wished to proclaim his faith- this humble bloke-

in every way known; but aramaic was all he spoke!

So he decided to hire a tutor of the English tongue,

who could correct and teach him right from wrong.

 

He finally one sunny day trying to impress the Lord

cried "Long may You rain!" mispronouncing a word

gazing proudly up at the skies he beckoned at God

which, alas, was what prompted a long, hard flood!
