Thoughts on Travelling

I want to be going
To a place
To a place where I can rest
Where I can leave my life
Far behind
Where I can sit and breath
Where I can cleanse the soul;
Maybe, maybe not.

I want to be going
Far away from my world
To a quiet, still place
Where nobody
Is sick of my face
Where nobody judges
And nobody cares
About the mistakes I made,
All the bad choices.

I want to be going
Where the work I do is my own,
With dreams and ideas flowing.
Where every thought is an orginal
And every word a miracle.

I want to be going
To the place where I am happy
But
Do I want to be going alone?

I have been having thoughts like this lately,i think poetry is just as useful for unloading as it is enjoyable to write.

i agree with TC, wherever you go you always have to take yourself!
I like this one Kenny it, theres lots of quite soft language in it which reminded me of someone sitting near the sea and goes with the reflective mood of your poem. :)

I think everybody echoes these sentiments at one time or another, trouble is when you get there, it always turns out like the place you left behind.....
